Having so many seemingly disparate interests (law, oral advocacy, creative writing, music, traditional art, digital art, and fitness) has been hard to navigate career-wise, as well as personally/emotionally. Trying to choose one over another led to many years of suffering. I only found peace when I allowed myself to combine everything together, to stop fracturing my Self, and defined my Core unifying identity as a “Creative.” I’m finally brave enough to wholeheartedly embrace and honor every aspect of myself in how I choose to work and to live my life. It’s why I chose my Pen Name (Victus) because it means “living or way of life.”
I've recently have done this exercise myself and found out that writing and creative freedom is what connects all my interests. Then all made sense, and I don't freak out anymore about finding a perfect job that fits all the aspects of my soul, but I make sure to write and read constantly (while working or not) so I can feel alive. I love that you embrance this philosophical aspect of yourself, because the world need more people like this.
You just have to decide which thing to do first. 🙂↔️
This really resonated with me, thank you!
