We are blessed when we have multiple different interests. Our innate curiosity is a gift and not a curse, yet it can cause us to be unsure and foggy on the path. This is because we’re often looking at the structures of paths rather than how our interests work together.
An interest in yoga equals yoga instructor. An interest in Astrology equals Astrologer. An interest in literature equals literary fiction writer or English professor.
This is a problem.
When we have multiple interests, often, the core thread of our work is unrecognised. Laying dormant in the deeper layers of our psyche. Hiding within our different interests and causing confusion as if our path requires a dramatic splitting of self. But we don’t need to cut ourselves into a million pieces. We need to decode our interests to find out what they’re made of within.
For example, if you’re into film, asking why? Is it the characters, the colours, the settings, the tone, the story, the dialogue? Identifying which pieces tug at your soul help to clarify the direction.
Knowing that you are split between film and fashion because you are drawn to colour in both of them changes the understanding: you’re not split. There’s a core thread that’s running between both of them. Waiting for you to understand it and bring it into coherence.
