That's the dream, but easier said than done! Takes a certain level of vision and business skills. I'd love to see a world where creative people were able to do this more frequently though.
Absolutely but so worth pursuing that dream. I really do believe creative people have the ability to make it happen in mass. I think belief more than know-how is what’s missing. Hopefully we can infect more people with the courage to try.
This is resonating with me so much! As I'm at a crossroad to integrate my creative being with a portfolio career in business consultancy next to the pursuit of creative endeavours.
That’s so great to hear. The ability to create our own way of working as well as do work that’s deeply fulfilling within those structures is an empowering insight to have. Rooting for you as you go through this period of change.
Love the idea that we can create our own jobs. I’m currently in that process (:
I strongly believe we are all creative beings.
Creativity is something that we are born with. Some are clearly more in touch with it, yes. Others grew up believing that creativity was not “their thing” just because they didn’t have an obvious artistic talent as kids. But really, creativity is in everything we do
So good to hear, we need more creative people doing the work they are born to do, full-time. Also, definitely. That very idea is in personality analysis as well. Creativity is always used as a trait, whether we are high or low, it’s there.
Im new in Substack and I am new to auction and I am very happy to have found your channel. Personally I am trying to create more YouTube videos and find my online community.
Joel Uili! I recognised your voice instantly! I’m a huge, huge fan of your YouTube channel and have only just started using Substack again… only to find
I’ve been following you on here all along
what a fun coincidence
also, great video. I strongly resonate with everything you’re saying and believe we’re at a historical turning point in terms of creative integration and greater autonomy in traditional ways of work

“Infect more people with the courage to try” is my favorite sentence of the week ❤️
Well that made my day. 🙌

Steve Jobs actually said something very similar back in 1994: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYfNvmF0Bqw
